Zahvaljujući inicijalnoj podršci Ministarstva inostranih poslova Holandije kroz program MATRA i razumevanju beogradske opštine opštine Savski venac, prvi put kod nas jedan objekat industrijskog nasleđa prerasta u multifunkcionalni prostor i mesto živih kulturnih dešavanja.

Cultural Front / KC Grad

Cultural Front was founded in 2000 with the idea of promoting the new Serbian art scene, encouraging regional and international cooperation, contributing to the functional cultural policy. Over the years its programs, such as exhibitions, festivals, concerts and debates, CF has been realizing in different public venues in Belgrade and Serbia.

In April 2009, CF has created Grad - the European Centre for Culture and Debate, as a result of ten years of work, with cooperation with Felix Meritis center for culture, science and debate in Amsterdam. With the help and the initial support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands through the MATRA program and understanding of municipality of Belgrade Municipality Savski Venac, for the first time in our industrial heritage one object turns into a multifunctional space and place of so many live cultural events.

The old warehouse was built in 1884. in the heart of the former city centre. Space was re-designed into the multifunctional space with possibilities to organize programs such as exhibitions, concerts, debates, performances, conferences and workshops. The idea was to keep the atmosphere of the old warehouse on the bank of the Sava river by creating new venue completely equipped as modern cultural centre.
